IS IT REALLY THRALLING TO FLY IN AN AIRPLANE? I've always wondered...

You should try it sometime. Its really quite enjoyable. You get a stale bag of nuts and a cheezy in flight movie... Whats not to love?

Maybe drop a tooth on the front sprocket & go with 20" rears. That's a real common mod.

Yeah, but then its not an LT-R anymore.

QUOTE (07 Bomb Squad LTR @ Jun 15 2010, 06:42 PM) *
I have Pro Armor for both the nerf bars and the rear skid plate. The nerf bars and the skid plate both broke because of faulty welds. I bought a second skid plate before the nerf bars broke thinking maybe I just got a bad skid plate but even that second skid plate broke in the same exact spot. They had me send the nerf bars back to them to be fixed and this took them about a month and a half to fix and send back to me. They had me email them pics of the first skid plate and they agreed to replace it. I then had to ship the broken skid plate to them for replacement. I had to call them many times to find out the status of the replacement part and they told me it was on backorder. I finally received the replacement (about 5 weeks later) but itís the wrong part. They sent me a full chassis skid plate instead of a rear swing arm skid plate (even though they had pictures and the original broken part). Now I'm stuck with two skid plates, the wrong one and a broken one. If anyone is reading this because they're thinking of what to get for parts, please do me and yourself a favor DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM PRO ARMOR their parts are useless and so are the people in customer service. How can they send me the wrong part when they had the original broken one?

When I had Pro-Armor on my LT-Z400 I had great customer service. Sure their parts didn't fit right, and the nerfs where especially troublesome, but when my dominator bumper was on back order they also sent me a couple stickers, badges, key chains, bottle openers, and even a hitch cover which is proudly displayed on the back of my Silverado. All of this was free to boot! icon_biggrin.gif

You're an honest guy too! Don't worry though. The YFZ thread wont take long to catch up and eventually surpass the LT-R thread. Even despite the fact that this is an LT-R forum.

Yeah, I know man. Thats ok though, good luck with the LT-R thread.

thank you very much for your response. hotcams only increase the "0.5 hp? also get the fastest climb in RPM. I think that will ride and take you to a dyno with pim & fimak. and have to give me results.

0.5 is for the exhaust cam. Because the engine can extract unwanted CO2 gas better than it can bring it in. A new intake cam will give you about 5HP. So, you can spend 200 bucks for a 5hp increase, or 400 bucks on a 5.5hp increase.

PC5 or Not,
Here is what i have done to my bike so far:
Cherry Bomb, Motoworks slip on lid removed i am in the process now of modding the airbox for more air flow, I have the Mod quad addapter witht the K&N filter, I wanted to put in the intake cam but i wanted to know if i will need a power commander because i have the slip on exhaust installed or if i can install the cam and not have to put in a PC. will it run to lean?

Yes it will, because the new cam will allow more fuel and air to enter. You will need to get either a PClll or a PCV to compensate. Same being if you mod your airbox. Anytime you make your quad leaner, as soon as you richen it up you make more power.

hello, and have read everything that is old. you think that the CRBM, pro desing and intake and exaust Rossier hotcams is necessary to mount a PIM Yoshimura?? if necessary you know of where I could get a map? and other questions that you recommend me hotcams stage1 stage 2 or stage 3? crosscountry run.

This site is pretty much one of the deadest LT-R sites around. Theres just me and two others.

If you race XC, then you'd want a stage 1. Hot cams goes like this. 1 (bottom end) 2(mid) 3 (top) and just get the intake one, the exhaust cam is only worth about 0.5HP if that. And yes, with cams, intake, and exhaust your going to need a tuner. Don't get the PIM, its a waste of money (obsolete). Get either the PIM2 or the DynoJet PC-V with the auto-tune feature. Much much better.

Also, I wouldn't get the Prodesign kit. The so called "adapter" doesn't add power at all. Its a show piece. A high flow replacement filter will give you the same results for the LT-R, or the Fuel Customs intake, because it has a new (larger) intake tract thats designed to flow more air.
