Patents and patent filings should be viewed with caution, as most of these ideas never materialize. They primarily serve as a means for organizations to safeguard their intellectual property. However, when a company like Polaris submits patent applications for innovations and technologies that are common or widely used in the automobile and agriculture industries, it's a compelling reason to pay attention.

That's not necessary a bad thing, and news is that the Rancher, Foreman 4x4, and Foreman Rubicon are still here and still Hondas through-and-through. There's a few new accessories of note, and new pricing for the three aforementioned machines.

Polaris is recalling roughly 640 units of its 2023-2025 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar and Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar Crew UTVs. The brand states that on these machines, the lower seatbelt anchor was not tightened properly. As a result, the belt can separate from the vehicle frame, which in turn prevents it from doing its job. Polaris urges owners and users to stop using these vehicles immediately.

We hit the red rock trails of Southern Utah for a First Ride of the updated 2025 Yamaha Wolverine RMAX4 1000 XT-R & Limited Edition—a four-seat sport-utility side-by-side built to blur the line between workhorse and weekend toy. Yamaha gave the RMAX4 some thoughtful refinements this year, including updated suspension settings and revised throttle mapping, all built around a 999cc parallel twin that’s known for its grunt and smooth delivery.

Kawasaki has debuted the Mule side-by-side lineup it will offer in 2026, packed with features and the hard-working guts the machine has come to be known for. From Pro-FXT 1000 Platinum Ranch Edition to 4000 Trans Series models, Kawi brings a lot to the table with its utility range of workhorses.

Yamaha has been paying a lot of attention to their beloved Wolverine lineup, which shows in a big way in 2025. One of our own ventured to Arizona to ride around in a few variations of RMAX models to try and ponder these upgraded features from a consumer point of view.
